Griffin's Victory Lap or Farewell Tour?
Editor's note: According to various Twitter postings and email messages, Mike Griffin is wowing the crowds at JSC today. Where next?

I saw him at the auditorium in JSC. I must say, in my opinion, the mood in the crowd was that this would be the last time they are addressed by Administrator Griffin.
Over all, it was a good Q&A session.

Frankly, I thought it was a very good session. Mike was extremely articulate, respectful, and what stuck with me the most was him reminding the NASA family (CS, specifically) of our obligations as representatives of the US govt and our democratic process. (Namely, to support the next administration and whatever our national space policy may be).
I think Mike gets a tremendous amount of flack, but overall he's always had the best intentions for our agency and our nation (tough job filling that role with folks always watching, yet not necessarily having all the data he might). I was one of those that gave him the standing ovation.
On a separate note, I also am still proud to have Mike Coats as our center director; he is A#1 in my book.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

It's just unfortunate that it took Griffin being replaced to get him to act so respectful. We'll never know, but perhaps if Griffin had acted like this the entire time then maybe...just maybe...he'd still be our Administrator.
