You would only be able to tell if Bolden is a "yes man" if you were privy to their conversations. If you work for the President, once the conversations are over you're expected to do what he says.

Well, this destroys my interest in space.
So much for 12 years of career and school.

Unfortunately the saddest part is there is a whole new generation of aerospace talent that you Obama just completely devastated. Once dreamers, our dreams are dead. NASA is dead.

V, as one of the younger, whole new generation of aerospace talent, I am not devestated at all, and am in fact quite excited.

After watching Ares throughout my education I have come to the conclusion that it was a relic that was ill-suited for a time with soaring deficits and a lack of external impetus for development (no space race). WIth more money going to basic research and practical vehicle development of a more incremental, sustainable nature, I look forward to new job opportunities that are likely to see results more quickly and are less likely to be cancelled as administrations change.

NASA is not dead. Human Spaceflight is not dead. All that is dead is Constellation, which was likely stillborn anyway.

The science and space ops leaders just referred to the new budget as "very good" five or ten times. They're very happy to finally have the money to do what they want.

Gerst even explained the new plan so a child could understand. Government pushes new frontiers, leaves old ones to free marketeers.
