Van Hollen chief of staff tapped for NASA post, Gazette.net
"President Barack Obama has appointed Rep. Christopher Van Hollen's top aide to be the chief spokesman for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration."
Good luck, Mr. Weaver. I hope that the addition of Mr. Weaver will start NASA back on an ascending orbit.
BTW, does anyone else see the Maryland delegation's (i.e. Steny Hoyer, Chris van Hollen, Donna Edwards, and Sen. Mikulski)hand in this appointment? Seth Statler, AA for Legislative Affairs at NASA, also has deep Maryland (D) roots.
NASA needs some real help in this area. This looks like just another political assignment.

I wish him well and hopefully he can help NASA. NASA needs serious help in this area.
I was just reviewing yesterday the initial inputs of Sterner and Hopkins, a couple of his predecessors. It does not take each of them long to recognize the problems. But it seems before they start to try and fix them they leave.
Why is that?
