If you've seen the film "Deep Impact" then you're sure to have noticed that the crew of the comet buster "Messiah" all sport astronaut polo shirts complete with the NASA worm logo. Oops.

With the exception of stock shuttle launch footage, there seems to have been no overt technical or production assistance rendered by NASA. Perhaps if NASA had helped, the PAO political correctness crowd could have prevented this logo faux paux from happening

Meanwhile, NASA did cooperate with the producers of "Armageddon" the other impact movie - a film which apparently pays little attention to the laws of physics - but does get NASA's logos portrayed correctly.
