Worm Sightings Volume 48 4 October 1999: Official extradition orders for the worm logo are now online. The NASA Graphics Standards Website is now online at NASA HQ. And so is the worm!
If you go to the History of the insignia page - and drag your mouse over "NASA logo" you 'll see the worm! - plus this stern warning: "The NASA Logo has been retired since 1992. It is reserved for special use (such as for commercial merchandising purposes) and must be approved by the visual identity coordinator at NASA Headquarters. The NASA logo should never be used with the NASA Insignia" Who is the "visual identity coordinator"? Shouldn't she/he be working on eradicating the sole remaining large worm on the outside of NASA HQ? Oh yes: Just what are "commercial merchandising purposes"? Is Dan Tam thinking of making money for NASA off of selling the worm?
